     SDI provides community based diagnostic imaging for Solano County cities.  We have imaging services available in Fairfield and Vacaville.  SDI is the only provider of imaging services that exclusively operates in Solano County.  We believe that serving our community is the most important factor of our business.  Our goal is to provide the latest technology and the most convenient service for our patients and referring physicians.

Breast MRI

     New guidelines have been recommended by the American Cancer Society (ACS) regarding the use of MRI for screening women at high risk for breast cancer.  Also - a study of breast MRI in women with newly diagnosed breast cancer suggests that breast MRI may also play a role in this population.

Guidelines

Routine breast cancer screening with mammograms and MRI is recommended for women at high risk for breast cancer.

High-risk features include a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation, a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer, a 20% or greater lifetime risk of breast cancer, and radiation therapy to the chest for treatment of lymphoma.

Solano Diagnostics Imaging

SDI was the first to offer Breast MRI in Solano County.  Our MRI service includes the latest technology to provide the best resolution in breast imaging.  In addition to our high-field MRI with advanced software for faster imaging, we have added computer aided diagnostic (CAD) software to effectively analyze areas of interest and provide surgical planning when necessary.
